This beautiful area is one of the greenest in Las Cruces, with tree lined streets and large grassy yards. Mesilla Park is partially surrounded by pecan orchards and farm land, nestled between the southern part of Las Cruces and the Town of Mesilla. You’ll find a variety of home styles and sizes – no cookie cutter homes here! There are grand homes on large lots, cute farm houses, Southwestern homes, adorable cottages, This was one of the first suburbs of Las Cruces, with homes built as early as the late 1800’s, and going through every age up to, and including, brand new homes today. Historic Mesilla Park is recognized in the National Register of Historical Places because its homes, commercial, and community landmark buildings are representative of architectural styles and types built in New Mexico towns from the late 19th to the mid 20th century.

This peaceful neighborhood offers a few unique shops, restaurants, and business, and is just a few short minutes to Historic Old Mesilla, the most visited historical community in Southern New Mexico. The Mesilla Park warehouse district near the railroad tracks includes attractions such as Art Obscura, an eclectic gallery of antiques and art from local artists, and Pastaggio’s, a great, casual neighborhood Italian restaurant. With pecan orchards all around, it is no surprise you can pick up delicious, locally made pecan treats like the ones found at NM Pecans. Also in the area is New Mexico State University’s Fabian Garcia Botanical Garden which open to the public and can be reserved for weddings or other special events.
